Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties.   Like other reviews, 4x4 is nice to get up the steep hill. The place was cute, cozy, hidden away. Lovely for couples. Hot tub was amazing . The bed was pretty comfortable and pretty much had all we needed. Though I will say they need some more silverware. Bring your own. Other than that it was great. Would stay again.

  A 4X4 is highly recommended due to the steep driveway. We found the cabin using Microsoft Maps which led us directly to the cabin. The cabin is very secluded which was perfect - no noises to distract from the quiet. The ONLY problem was the broken hinge on the coffee maker - we worked around that, but it might best be replaced. The sunsets from the porch were spectacular and worth the day's waiting for them. Overall, a cozy, comfortable stay.

  This cabin is so beautiful!! FYI the hill going up looks terrifying and when even called them because we didn’t think we could make it but it wasn’t as bad as it looked! We made it in a Kia Optima so it’s doable. The owners were really nice and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

  We really enjoyed the size, seclusion, and solitude of the cabin. Nothing we could say would be very negative, but in terms of offering helpful feedback, the secondary growth is blocking the mountain views. There were quite a few bugs in the interior of the cabin (nothing to be squeamish about).

  If you are looking for a cabin in the woods this is for you. Its super secluded and quiet. The cabin sits at the top of a your own little mountain. The driveway up to the cabin is super steep! 4wd is a must. The view from the hot tub was beautiful. The cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay with Yellow Rose again.

  Cabin was great. Had everything we needed and more. Hot tub and view was best part. Couch sleeps pretty good. Driveway up is very steep and slippery. We arrived after dark and much rain in the days prior it was awful got car stuck on way up. Would highly recommend 4wheel drive to get up to cabin. Thankfully rental company sent help to get car out next day. Beautiful property overall.

  My husband and I choose this cabin for our honeymoon week. We are so happy we did! The cabin is secluded and the hot tub & fire pit were nice amenities to have while there! I will say - I would recommend a truck/suv or any 4x4 vehicle due to the steep paved driveway. We will definitely be booking again!

  Great secluded cabin in the mountains, a little bit difficult to find after driving off the main roads but overall not impossible if you recognize the Deer Ridge sign and go up that road to Moonlight (GPS wasn't reliable). Definitely have to be weary of going up the wrong road if you don't have 4WD. Everything was pretty clean, some kitchen items had to be washed again from some type of grease on them but I don't fault the property owners for that. There are lots of stink bugs throughout the area, but it wasn't unexpected for us considering this is a cabin in the woods with some rainy weather happening. We just kept releasing them back outside, most seemed to come from the kitchen window area. TV worked well, so did heat. Only thing to note is that upon arrival the igniter had a dead battery and we couldn't find a compatible AAA battery in the cabin. We did find some AA batteries and some rechargeable AAA batteries in a drawer, but they wouldn't work. Thankfully we brought our own AAA batteries for a headlamp so we were able to replace it quickly. If you don't like pictures and items with bears all over them this probably isn't the cabin for you haha, but it was cute and we appreciated the effort put into the bear theme of the decor! Also, two dogs came out from the woods while we packed up and didn't seem particularly well taken care of but they were super friendly. Only one had a collar so we called the number on it, but it was just a borrowed collar so we just gave them information to pass along. We are hoping they were found again and brought somewhere safe!

  Pictures don’t do this view justice. It’s breathtaking. Very secluded and only about 17 min from town. Our email said gps wouldn’t get us there but we used the Waze app while following the directions and it took us to the right place. Def be prepared to go up a steep driveway but we made it without 4wd. I give the cabin a 8/10.

  Best place if you are wanting peace and quiet. Amazing views from the porch and hot tub. It has a full size kitchen so do yourself a favor, bring food to cook. The drive is steep so keep that in mind. DO NOT bring a little bitty electric car. We used 4 wheel drive to be sure. Smooth paved driveway but very steep. Won't regret this place. 100% recommended.
