This beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin is perfect escape from the everyday hustle and bustle that we all get caught up in. Peaking through the trees at Lake View Retreat you an find the Fontana Lake. From this cabin, you are just minutes from the Finger Lake access to the Fontana Lake. There you will find picnic tables covered by a canopy of trees. Finger Lake is a great place for swimming. Just a five minute drive you have Tsali Mountain Bike Trail. Nanatahala River is also a five minute drive. Who is up for some white water rafting or maybe zip lining, you can find these actives on the Nantahala River. The Smoky Mountain Rail Road is located in Downtown Bryson City, which is a ten minute drive. Spend your mornings out on the screened covered porch listening to the birds sing and enjoying a nice cup of coffee and your nights by the fire pit roasting marshmallows. . Lake View Retreat is the perfect location for that family that is on the go or just wanting to spend their vacation hanging out at the cabin.

    Overall we had a enjoyable stay at 111 Eagles Nest near Almond NC. The house was clean and well kept. It was well stocked with cooking utensils, and necessary things for eating. Also well stocked with bed covers and blankets. The Air conditioning and plumbing worked good. We lost electrical power for a short period one night but it was due to an electrical storm in the area. We were impressed with the wood furniture décor and the tongue and groove paneling throughout the house. The house does not have much of a view of the surrounding countryside;or,of Fontana Lake. If one were to be pulling a boat I would not recommend the location because the driveway isn't large enough to maneuver. Otherwise our stay was pleasant. Altogether we had a good time-in fact we stayed an extra week.

    Made great memories with the grandchildren. Great location. Ten miles from Bryson City.
