  This is a lovely, fairly recently renovated home, which has been tastefully done. It would definitely be great for a young family however, we would also advise potential older Guests to think & plan very carefully as neither of the bathrooms even partially conforms to even the basic ADA requirements.   We rented this vacation home to spend a few days away for our 6 year Anniversary. Absolutely LOVED everything about the place! Secluded for alone time, and breathtaking views of the Smokey Mountains.
  The only disappointment was that there were a few BIG spiders in our way. One by the stairs to the entrance, and the other going down the stairs to the hot tub. We had to purposely avoid them by being cautious when we walked up and down both sets daily. Other than that, the home was very clean, had everything we needed and welcoming. We will definitely be back!!

  We enjoyed the cabin's location, private, and the quiet. We sat on the deck for all our meals, so we could look at the view. Loved the chairs on the deck with the connected table. Cabin was very clean, everything worked well. No complaints at all. Great stay! As far as the area goes, we found a beautiful water that we had all to ourselves, and we are not telling!

  First thing you will notice is the breathtaking view off the top balcony that is also visible from the upstairs loft bedroom. The Cabin was very clean and equipped with all the essentials needed. With 3 kids having a washer and dry was very handy. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. Proximity to downtown and local activities was good. I give this cabin 5 stars, the only inconvenience was the ac could not keep up with the summer afternoons and the Wi-Fi is very inconsistent only works for a short time in the early mornings but will definitely recommend it.

  The cabin is absolutely beautiful! It is the perfect peaceful and beautiful getaway! We are already making plans to return. The house is well maintained and has all the essentials. We loved grilling on the deck at sunset. Just a couple down sides... wish we would have driven our SUV- the drive is a little hard on a car, Wi-Fi is unpredictable, more sheets needed for extra pillows. But these things can be managed and the beauty out weighs the few down sides.

  A very quiet area, somewhat isolated but within a few minutes of Bryson City and Cherokee. an easy drive to Maggie Valley, Clingman's Dome, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and other sights to see, then back to the peace and quiet of the cabin to relax. Deer and turkeys in the yard. It doesn't get any better! The cabin was clean and well taken care of. The road to the cabin was a bit of a challenge for flatlanders, but after a couple of trips up and down it was an easy drive. We would definitely stay there again.

  The place is pretty great, no complains whatsoever. Not an issue for my family that there is no cell phone or internet coverage (it might be for some people tho). There was only one working toilet upstairs. I called the first day to ask for someone to come and fix it, they said they would but no one ever came or called to explain why they didn't. Also a smoke detector was beeping at night waking us up. I think the property needs a bit better maintenance. If I knew those things were taken care of I'd gladly go back.

  This cabin was in a wonderful location with beautiful views, very comfy beds, and a really nice two story patio. The only complaint I would have is that the hot tub head rests were moldy and the hot tub itself smelled really bad like mildew, it ruined our bathing suits because we can’t get the smell out of them. We did contact the agency and they sent someone out to balance the chemicals which helped a little but not much. Overall great stay, just wish the hot tub was cleaner.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Above the Clouds! View is awesome and the ability to see it while in a hot tub was well worth it. Everything was clean and as expected. Nice gas fire place that came in handy as storms knocked power out when we arrived for for some time. Company was quick to respond to any concerns or questions we had. Only quirk we had was the couches could be softer but we weren't at the cabin long enough for that to be much of an issue. Would recommend.

  This house was the perfect place to go for Christmas vacation. The view from the porch and the room is so beautiful of the mountains. The hot tub was a nice to relax in after walking all day. The house was clean and very spacious. The location of the house was easy to get to and 10 mins from downtown. We did the Bryson city train ride and that was really nice. Really awesome view from the upstairs bedroom/the porch/hot tub. Private location. Great amenities (beds/linens/kitchen things/Weber grill/hot tub). Love the Edison lights @ night over the outdoor seating area. Christmas tree was a very nice touch!!! Wish internet was better quality but that was disclosed in agreement as you are in the mountains. Interesting trek up to the cabin from asphalt to gravel roads :p. Highly recommend!!!

  Overall, we loved Sunrise above the clouds, however there are a few things we did not like or need to be addressed.
  The item to be addressed is the downstairs shower. As another reviewer noted, the diverter to change from tub to shower is not fully engaging, so the water is split between the tub and shower, making it virtually impossible to take a shower. The upstairs shower is the same, but does fully engage after fiddling with it a few times while the water is running. The TVs were all on Roku devices, Meaning no local stations, unless you login to a streaming service you already subscribe to. The upstairs TV has bad internet connection, so it was not worth using. I believe the Wireless router is downstairs which is locked from people that renting, but I believe that caused the internet signal to be a little weak.
  The thing we did not like was the fact that there are Ring cameras around the exterior of the cabin, making it feel like you're being spied on all the time.
  Everything else including the view, was awesome. There was a very friendly neighborhood Calico cat that stopped by a few times. I hope it was a neighbor's cat anyway. It looked fed and really just wanted attention. All the Kitchen appliances were new. We would consider staying there again, with a little apprehension due to the cameras.

  Very nice place. Private and quiet. Owner have done a good job decorating and making it feel cozy. Hot tub did not work correctly. Fire place did not work. Grill is a joke. Old and falling apart. But coffee maker was disgustingly dirty. But the call from the property manager to ask when we were leaving was not professional. When told about the hot tub no assistance given. Not impressed.

  This type of vacation was completely new to me, however my husband is very familiar with stays up in the NC mountains. I can't remember a time when I was this happy! We absolutely loved, loved everything about our accommodations and the entire area! The staff at Yellow Rose were gracious and kind from the beginning of our booking until the end when they called to see how our stay was! We cannot wait to book our next stay in this cabin!!! Just a couple of small things which can easily be fixed was the ice maker was not working properly and the carpets upstairs and down were not vacuumed very well.   We were looking for something near Bryson City and were told this is only 10 minutes away. It’s not. It’s closer to 20. It sleeps 6, but only has one bedroom. The dresser is used for storage so there was no place to put clean clothes. The downstairs shower still needs repair as reported in previous reviews. The deck and hot tub are on the first floor, but the rental space is only upstairs. It felt like we were using the neighbors hot tub while they were away.
  On the upside, the view is awesome. Everything was clean. The kitchen had everything we needed.

  We had a wonderful time. Facilities were beautiful and well maintained. We were able to enjoy a gorgeous view and we were close to fun hiking trails. There was a lot to do while maintaining social distance! Our favorite activity was hiking the three waterfalls trail at Deep Creek in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. We also enjoyed making smore's in the fire pit. Mostly we enjoyed being together as a family and having a safe and relaxing vacation during this very turbulent time.

  We rented this cabin last minute for Christmas and we were very pleasantly surprised. The cabin is very nice with fantastic views. The upgraded kitchen appliances were also a nice surprise. The cabin is close to Bryson city so we were able to have lunch out and go shopping before the 8” of snow on Christmas Day. The snow made the hot tub even more enjoyable, nothing like 104 degree water when it’s 20 outside and you’ve been building snowmen. The only changes I’d make are truly minor, a bath mat downstairs because the floor is freezing if you make a middle of the night trip and a ceiling fan in the downstairs bedroom. We really enjoyed our stay and loved this place.!

  Rental of the cabin was easy and did not have any issues with the dates we wanted. When we arrived at the location, the direction was precise and my navigation system was able to locate the remote location. Issue was going on a secondary road uphill and narrow roads on the side of several cliffs. It was a scary experience driving up the mountain to the cabin, if you don’t have the driving skills and experience. When we were in the cabin, the view was beautiful and very serene. The window view of the mountains was gorgeous, and my kids had the chance to use the jacuzzi, very warm and clean. The only problem we had was the water was brown due to iron pulling through the filters, which caused the water to have brown color to it, so we had to bring our own water from the store; very inconvenient, considering you have to drive down the mountain, and if you come back late in the evening, it’s dark on those narrow mountain roads. It was okay with me driving at night back to the cabin in the dark since I have experience and understand the capability of my SUV.

  The cabin was perfect! Incredible view, very nicely appointed, and spotless. Had everything we needed, and just a short drive to downtown Bryson City and mountain bike trails and Fontana Lake access at Tsali Park. I would and will stay there again. One note - I have seen other reviews where people didn't like the access road, which can be a little intimidating, and would suggest taking the "Friendship Walk" route which is the easiest. The view is well worth the drive!

  We loved the home, we had a full itinerary but the time we did have at the home was very enjoyable. We had beautiful scenery and even had a few deer cross the driveway. Home was very clean and beautiful just didn't get to use the hot tub, water was very murky almost greenish, we really were looking forward to it after our long day at Chimney Rock, maybe next time.   Although a very hard place to get to, it was beautiful. Be prepared for zero cell phone reception and no landline onsite. My only true complaint is the management company. When I advised them that the Wifi password they provided me wasn't working and that we need to figure this out as I had work to do, I was told "well maybe you shouldn't have picked this cabin". So rude! I later figured out that the password they gave me was incorrect. No apology! So I will take their advice and never rent this place again.

  We loved this cabin for its location and the views. Some of the pack it in/pack it out restrictions were a little strict. Leaving behind anything not perishables should be acceptable especially for visitors flying into town. The cabin was neat and clean. There was easy access to Bryson City even though the roads were a bit curvy. We experienced a small problem with the directions, but once we got on track, the cabin was an easy find. The amenities don't include a hair dryer, but there is one in the main bathroom. We would definitely book this cabin again in the future.

  For the most part good vacation. Started out with no propane for the grill or matches to start grill.Thermostat runs by wi/fi a/c runs out of Freon. Lose wi/fi no directions on how to start wi/fi really need a letter to tell you this. But your staff were very helpful and RJ was great to make sure thing got fixed. Even when garbage disposal broke.but again your staff was very polite.

  Great experience in a beautiful location. The last 1-2 miles up the mountain are gravel and not ideal for bikers, but I made it just fine on my BMW RT, even with the wife on board. The cabin's AC unit couldn't keep up one day and left us quite warm. The hot tub was clean & an awesome way to spend the evening. Tip:Turn in your mirrors if you park by the hill...A protective cardinal kept attacking my truck's mirror and pooped all over the side of my truck
