  We had our family for the weekend and totally enjoyed this location. The house and grounds were perfect for our family of 11. The family members range from 84 to 8 months old and they were all comfortable. We came to ride the polar express and that was a highlight again this year.   Our family had a great time at the Covered Bridge Lodge Cabin. It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The environment was amazing. We took advantage of roasting marshmallows around the fire pit and morning walks by the stream. Even though we planned day excursions to visit Gatlinburg for a day as well as snow skiing in Maggie Valley, the commute was not bad at all. It allowed us to experience some of the small town atmosphere and the beautiful countryside. Definitely worth the money spent! We had no problem booking the cabin through VRBO and once paid in full, all the information needed to open the cabin was sent immediately. Once we figured out that we stay right onto 19 South off of I-74, the cabin was a breeze to find.

  This is a nice place without any nearby neighbors which is what we were looking for. You definitely know and feel that you are not in the city. Nice creek at the back. Big yard for kids to run around. The smoky mountain train passes by the house and was such a neat surprise to see it at dusk with its yellow lights. The house itself was wonderful, homey, clean and well maintained - i could say i felt like i was at my grandma's place. We cooked for my wife's birthday celebration and the kitchen have what was necessary. It was just a nice weekend.

  My family and I had a very relaxing visit at covered bridge lodge. Our 5 year old and 2 year old had an amazing time playing outside in the beautiful surroundings. The location is idyllic and it was a perfect place to get away. There were some small cleanliness issues when we first arrived. We were also missing some basics such as kitchen towels. Management was easily accessible and resolved the issues quickly. I’d recommend bringing basic cooking items (if you need more than salt and pepper) as well has some extra paper products. After a trip to the local grocery, we were very comfortable here. We really enjoyed our stay!

  I have stayed in many cabins, but the Covered Bridge Lodge is by far my favorite. It’s rustic and cozy, yet it has modern touches throughout. It’s set in its own little valley by a tranquil trout stream. It’s secluded enough so you still get some privacy and a Mountain View , but it’s close enough to Bryson City so you can experience the shops, eateries, hiking trails, and waterfalls without having to drive up and down steep and gravelly roads. There is so much history behind how it was built, and Gary, the owner, is close by ready to share his stories and hospitality. Such a magical place!

  Our family of 8 loved the Covered Bridge Lodge. It was the perfect house for enjoying our family time. The house is beautiful and very spacious. We especially enjoyed the covered porch and screened deck. Bedrooms were all very comfortable with plenty of room and plenty of bathrooms. It is a quiet, peaceful property with a trout stream just a few feet from the house which we enjoyed fly fishing. The location is literally 5 min from Bryson City. We met the owner who made us feel very welcome. Book this house! You won’t be disappointed! Beautiful mountain location!

  This cabin is the best of all worlds. It is close to town, large running stream behind cabin, plenty of porch space to relax and hear the stream plus the scenery was spectacular! You can have a large familiy or families stay here and have plenty of room. The fire pit is just amazing. One word describes this place- AWSOME!
