Ledbetter Trails

Ledbetter Trails is named to highlight the wonderful walking paths around the near 8 acres on which this cabin sits. Total privacy and seclusion is offered in a heavily wooded surround, but the trails are cleared and well maintained so you can casually stroll among nature or venture to the small private pond. Observe wildlife and feed the fish, but no swimming please. Kids can even enjoy an attempt at their first catch without a license since this is private.

Two bedrooms, one queen and one full, share one bathroom. The living room is comfortably decorated with a TV and satellite service, plus free internet. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances and all the dishes and cooking supplies you will need. So bring your food, something to toss on the grill, and prepare to relax among nature. You can count the stars as you enjoy a campfire at the fire pit, or sit under the cover of the main porch and listen to the rain.

Should you desire some excitement, venture out to enjoy the many area attractions. This property is in the Topton area, so groceries and civilization are in Murphy/Andrews, Robbinsville, or Bryson City, depending on the direction you want to head. From whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, to lake activies on Fontana or Santeetlah, to zip lining in the Nantahala Gorge, there is plenty of excitement. For a more relaxed day, drive the Cherohala Skyway or stroll through the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Both are convenient to this cabin.

  We had a wonderful quiet get away here! Cabin was clean and well maintained. Everything was just as described. We enjoyed the walking trails as well as the peaceful view from the dock. The hot tub was clean and we enjoyed the gorgeous view under the stars. Pleasantly surprised to have 2 goats greet us when we arrived, they were so sweet my only complaint is we didn't know their names :) Also, we forgot several items at home for cooking and found everything we needed was there. Highly recommend!

  Everything was perfect. Easy to access, very peaceful setting, and very clean. We were greeted by 2 very friendly goats who stay on the property. We spent most of our time at the cabin but it was was easy access to Bryson City when we did venture out. Would definitely stay here again.

  Great place to stay. Hot tub was fun, and so was our interactions with the two goats. My only complaint was the bed. The mattress and box springs sleep like a fold-out sofa. Not good for anyone's back!

  We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very comfortable and the setting was beautiful and very tranquil. Kitchen had everything we needed and beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of whitewater kayaking. Fire pit was fun. Wish it didn't rain so much so we could have enjoyed it more. Pond is beautiful but didn't catch any fish. Visiting goats were very cute. We will return in the future.

  Beautifully decorated, clean, well-kept, and very cozy & comfortable. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub and sitting on the front porch swing sipping our morning coffee. Really enjoyed a surprise visit from neighbors - the cutest & friendliest little goats! :) Private & serene surroundings. Didn’t have time or gear for fishing, but pond & cleared walking trails on the property were very nice. Cabin was well-stocked with just about everything one might need for vacation - plenty of extra pillows, towels, & linens. Location easy to find, and while off the beaten path, many opportunities nearby for outdoor adventures & dining out. We were visiting my son in Robbinsville. Made some great family memories at the cabin; also enjoyed white water rafting at Nantahala Adventure Center and lunch at Lakes End Cafe & Grill! Management was very responsive from day of reservation. Had a minor issue at check-in, but were quick to respond and promptly resolved same day. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely go back!

  Amazing quite secluded the cabinet was a lot smaller than what I'm use to but perfect for the occasion It was quite hard to find at first. but once we found it, we were good there is nothing around in any of the towns to eat or shop but I'm always prepared when it comes to food and didn't book this trip to shop so we were good. for me it was a getaway from everything and that is what we did no cell phone signal Wi-Fi was very limited nothing work on the tv for us, so we watched the complimentary DVDs they had the bed were a little hard and too small for both of us, so we slept on the chair over all we enjoyed ourselves thank you for a romantic getaway...
