  For our family with teenage daughters, it was perfect. The view is amazing, and it's so quiet here. We made much use of the porch ricking chairs and the awesome griddle on the grill.   Fox Ridge is wonderful the only negative experience we had was we were not able to operate the tv remotes and was unable to watch tv the whole stay, which was fine with me but my husband likes to watch tv at nite. There should be a manual to let people know how to use the remotes since there are 2 to each tv. Called yellow rose 2 times and they were not able to help me either Very happy with everthing else.   The road to the cabin was very steep with several turns and mostly gravel and only 1 car wide so 4x4 is recommended. The cabin was as the pictures show, and the beds were comfortable. I was also impressed by the extra touches left by yellow rose, such as wood bundles for a fire, dish soap/towels, ect.

  This cabin was the perfect getaway for the two of us. I was a little nervous about the drive up after reading other's reviews, but now I am convinced those reviewers are city folks who have never been on true mountain roads. This one was nothing compared to the roads to the two cabins we rented before this one! The only thing that could use improvement, is the kitchen wares - it's a "fully stocked" kitchen, but just barely, and the pans are super old. But we got along. Other than that, the cabin was super clean, beds were comfy, there were plenty of towels, the porch and hot tub were private, and the view was wonderful. We will definitely be back when we need another getaway!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. We arrived at sunset set and thankfully it was still light enough outside that we were able to see the turns and the condition of the road for the first time. It is a little tricky going up the road, but our Jeep made it just fine. The cabin interior is just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. We were unable to get the indoor fireplace working, which wasn't the end of the world for us, but a little frustrating. My biggest complaint was that the dishes were not clean. I checked for a crockpot and was pleasantly surprised they had one to use, however, it was so filthy I could tell what the previous people had cooked in it. I know the rental company is not responsible for cleaning the dishes, however, I think they should at least inspect them prior to turning the place over to the next guests. The communication with Yellow Rose was poor as well, they don't respond to messages or emails.
  I would return to this cabin in a heart beat. The location was perfect, centrally located to the places we wanted to visit. Thank you for a wonderful vacation to end a crazy year!

  This Cabin was everything we wanted plus more. We went mid Nov. The view was incredible. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Cabin was larger in person then in pictures. Very Private and peaceful. Absolutely Amazing. If you are not familiar with the area, i would not plan your arrival at night. There are a few tricky turns and slops that are very hard to see at night.(you could get lost very easily) But what would you expect in the mountains. A lot of reviews mention the road to the cabin. It is true, very steep. We drove a Dodge Challenger and our tires did spin a little. We didn't think we could make it up. But after a few back and fourths, we had no problem. Again, what did you expect from a road on the side of a mountain. I could go on and on how great this place was and how Yellow Rose was quick on all responses. I will be returning and continue to use Yellow Rose for future vacations. The only unexpected thing we ran into was the propane tank for the grill was empty. We ended up buying wood and cooking on the open fire. Thank you for our peaceful vacation.   We were a bit disappointed in the stay. we were expecting to enjoy the hot tub amenity but upon arrival I discovered it was not operational.I understand that problems occur unexpectedly but it was obvious this problem was not recent. I feel like I should have been informed about this issue but wasn't. The overall condition was fair but needs some up keep. The baseboards were dirty and the bifold doors came off their tracks with one opening. The outside garbage can was 3/4 full of old garbage. There was a large sinkhole forming in the firepit area and was a bit hazardous to walk by. We normally stay in a cabin identical to this one a short distance up the road from this one and the condition of it is far superior to this one and less expensive that this one. I attributed the cost differential to the hot tub which the other one doesn't have but we were unable to enjoy the one we were supposed to have available.

  My new husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon.
  
  My problems were with the company, Yellow Rose. We arrived on Saturday after driving 10 1⁄2 hours to an empty and broken hot tub along with a broken fireplace. I called the emergency number and was told it was broken and would be fixed asap. I called Monday and guess what?! Could not be fixed and no cabins were available to switch to. We were heartbroken, we canceled our big wedding due to Covid and saved up our money for the honeymoon. We worked through the entire pandemic as essential workers and we were looking forward to the hot tub the most out of everything. We spoke to the property manager Dena and she had refunded my money on the card without speaking to me and it was going to take 5-7 days to go back on my card. I just got married and changed my last name, that card was about to be shut off for my new one. I expressed to her I was extremely upset and heartbroken, we had booked the cabin in April (I have an email confirming it) and she argued saying I booked it in August.
  She also told me I was being “aggressive” and “harsh” because I was upset about our honeymoon not having the main thing I wanted. I never yelled or said anything mean, I was just upset, and I talk loudly. I work in customer service and speak to upset people daily, if I told my flustered customers that I would be fired. She refunded us money and paid for a couples massage that we greatly appreciated, but the lack of communication and the service we got wasn’t ideal. If I just got a phone call on Friday or Saturday telling us they were broken I would have understood, I know things happen. We worked so hard for this honeymoon and I’m still upset about not having the main thing I wanted. I still wanted a week of soaking in the hot tub with my new husband and relaxing our tired self’s from working so much this past year and having so many disappointments and frust

  We had a great time at Fox Ridge Cabin. The view was gorgeous, the location was convenient, and we were quite comfortable there.
  
  There were a few minor maintenance issues that have hopefully been addressed since our visit like a drippy sink, a missing kitchen chair, a bathroom door that wouldn't close, and a number of carpenter ants inside.
  
  But overall, we were very happy with our stay.

  My wife and I had a wonderful time staying in this cabin! The scenery was gorgeous, and the living space was quite cozy and comfortable. The staff did an incredible job having everything well-prepared for us to have a great vacation. They provided everything we needed for 5 nights! The only couple of minor things we noticed during our stay were that several light bulbs all throughout the cabin were burned out and the ceiling fan in the living room would make a scraping noise if set on higher speeds. Other than that, the cabin was perfect! Be aware that if you are going to stay in this cabin, or any other cabins in this specific area, the road leading up to these properties is a dirt road that is very steep and very twisted. I would suggest driving a SUV or a truck up to these cabins, not a car or a minivan, as these roads are bumpy and can potentially cause damage to cars that ride low to the ground. Do NOT try pulling a trailer up these hills; you WILL NOT succeed! Anyone who stays in this cabin will have a fabulous vacation!

  Nice, current, fairly clean. Steep, gravel road was very difficult with trailer and motorcycle. Because of that I would not stay here again.
  
  Great view of the mountains to the west. Nice patio. Nicely stocked kitchen.
  
  Annoyances. King bed upstairs in loft and not in bedroom downstairs. No lighting sufficient to read in the evenings except at the kitchen table. 3 light bulbs burned out. Smoke detectors disconnected and sitting in a drawer.

  Great location - easy access (directions were spot on); close to tons of activities but also a very comfortable place to stay put. Any issues we had we addressed with the realtor and they were outstanding. Quick trip into Bryson City, food shopping and the Smokies. Extra beds (came in handy with surprise visitors for a night). Enjoyable house with decent views.

  We have rented various cabins over the years for our vacations in the Smokys so we tend to compare to our previous experiences. This cabin did not meet our expectations in a few areas: 1) the bed mattresses were firmer than we prefer, 2) the hot tub was only warm and the jets in the hot tub had very low pressure, not a comfortable size for 3 people, 3) the vent over the kitchen stove did not work for us and the smoke alarm was sensitive enough to go off even when using the toaster, 4) the last section of the road up to the cabin was quite steep right before turning the corner to turn in to the cabin. Overall, not a bad cabin, but we found previous cabins preferable.

  The cabin was secluded and we liked the location. Close to Bryson City and Cherokee. The cabin was clean but very minimalistic. Did not have the “homey” feel like most cabins we rent. There were problems but Yellow Rose was quick to respond and came out to check on the issues. Some were able to be fixed but one was going to require an electrician. The owners really need to update dishes and pots/pans. Additional lamps in living room and a side table would be a benefit. The gutters are full and pulling away from house on backside. Cabin needs a little TLC.
