Come enjoy this Recently Renovated 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin at the top of a mountain with gorgeous views. Property offers a secluded getaway with family and friends, but is conveniently located within minutes to hiking trails in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, White Water Rafting on the Nantahala River, Downtown Bryson City, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Cherokee Casino. 4x4 or AWD vehicle is required to access this property.

Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties.   We LOVED Sleeping Bear cabin! There's so much to say about the view, secluded cabin and decor, fenced yard. This property offered many extras that made it really nice; hot tub with a breathtaking view, gas grill, tons of kitchenware, plenty of bedding and towels - anything you need.   We loved this rental property! First off, the property was very dog friendly and our pup loved the fenced in yard. We used the hot tub 1-2x per day and it had a wonderful view. We appreciated AC units in the bedrooms on the warmer nights as well. We found the drive very doable in a Honda CRV.

  Or maybe spectaular. Definitely a fabulous place to spend a vacation. Pictures do not do the Smoky mountains justice. Everything was terrific except the 8/10th's of a mile gravel drive straight up, it seemed, did indeed require all-wheel drive. It was fairly terrifying with place that dropped off straight down to where you didn't see bottom. If you can handle that, you will love the Smoky Mtns and Sleepy Bear Cabin, which had everything!(Oh, that hot tub!!!)

  This is our 2nd visit to this special little cabin. We really enjoy this cabin and so do our pups. Fenced in yard makes this little cabin a dream for us to bring our dogs with us and have never been able to have that option in the past. Of course we keep them in there kennel while were not there, but they can run around in the yard and bark into the valley below.

  Sleeping Bear is a FANTASTIC cabin. We loved our stay so much, we didn't want to leave. We used the hot tub every single night. The views are incredible.

  The cabin was spotless and comfortable. The drive up is a little precarious. We have a 4x4 but I can’t imagine someone reaching the cabin in a standard vehicle. Take them seriously when they counsel you to follow their directions and ignore your GPS. We tried the GPS and no, it does not work.
  But... once you reach the cabin, wow!! What a view!! I loved relaxing in the hot tub or on the porch and soaking in the smoky mountain landscape. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard. I didn’t have to worry for them at all, they were always in eyesight.

  We had rented the cabin for 5 nights and then due to Hurricane Dorian and evacuations, they allowed us 2 extra nights!!! We also bought a boat with us that was NOT going to make it up the crazy road, so they allowed us to keep the boat in town at their office. Very nice, professional, and accommodating! The cabin was as described, and we enjoyed our visit. The only criticism I have is that the hot tub pressure valves don't work, its either full on, or full off... no in-between.

  This home was very cozy, clean, and had amazing views of the mountains. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was perfect. We stayed here for a week and enjoyed playing cards, having campfires and enjoying the natural beauty of the area by tubing, zip lining, whitewater rafting, searching for waterfalls, swimming in mountain side swimming holes, and just having great quality family time. I would definitely stay here again.
