Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it! Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be used to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

  Very peaceful, secluded and beautiful views. This was our second time staying at this location and plan to stay here again in the future. The new deck for the hot tub and newer furniture were nice. The only issue we had is that there is no longer DirectTV and the DVD player upstairs didn't work. We don't use apps for watching things and we were hoping for occasional TV or DVD entertainment for our 8 year old.

  The only complaint that we had with this cabin was, there was a rug in the middle of the floor that filled the cabin with urine smell. But we kept in mind that this was a pet-friendly cabin, so we just rolled it up and placed it into the laundry room. The cabin's location was perfect for us, completely secluded. I do advise you to bring a higher-profile vehicle, not a car. There is a creek you have to cross that has a few rocks that may scrub your undercarriage and the actual driveway of the cabin, you have to back into and it is a steep grade. The cabin was absolutely beautiful inside and out and very spacious and very clean! We could not have picked a better cabin to stay in. The staff at Yellow Rose Realty were so friendly and helpful, I give the staff alone a 5 star! The cabin itself I give a 4.5 star!

  Cabin was very nice as pictured and secluded. Surrounded by nature. Yellow Rose was excellent in responding when we discovered the Satellite TV wasn't hooked up. The maintenance man was extremely professional, friendly and dedicated. He had to come back up the mountain a few times with the necessary equipment to fix it. Billy from Yellow Rose called to check on us after a severe storm went through the area. We stayed at another cabin managed by another company previously and will never stay with anyone but Yellow Rose again! Will definitely book this cabin again. Would recommend arriving in a truck or SUV, as the drive up is bumpy and steep at times, as well as having to go across a creek to get to the cabin. We were in a truck and had no issues.

  The view was beautiful however the furniture was dirty, smelled, wore out & needs to be replaced. The floors need to be refinished also. The hot tub was very nice tho.   We stayed at Mountain Time for 3 nights. In fairness to my comments, it rained off and on all the time we were there.
  
  First, the home is beautiful and has a wonderful view of the mountain. There is no one further up the hill and no neighbors within sightline.
  
  There are several comments about the need for a 4WD vehicle to get to it. We drove a front wheel drive Toyota RAV4 and made it to the house but on the loose wet gravel it was not a sure thing. If you plan to go up and down during your stay, best to drive a 4WD vehicle.
  
  The house needs a good deep cleaning and they need to more rat control (mostly outside on the deck). We rented 5 houses on this 4 week trip. Mountain Time was the least clean of them.
  
  We never did figure out how to get the bedroom TV to work but that wasn't a big deal.
  
  We would stay at Mountain Time again, but drive something different.

  First I would like to say the reviews absolutely terrified me. I was so scared I couldn't make it up the mountain and thought it was going to be scary. That is not the case at all. It was not tough for me to get to and wasn't scary at all. I drive a Chevy equinox and had no issues. The small stream is no big deal either. The property itself was nice but could use a few upgrades. The hot tub is not on the deck but was still easy to get to and see from the deck. The furniture is awful. Really needs an upgrade. There were fleas that bit us also. The jacuzzi tub didn't work at all as the button is broken. We didn't hear or see any rats/mice. The liquor bottle collection was a little odd. Deck could really use a good pressure wash and deck chairs are broken. The crt tv in the bedroom could use an upgrade. Outdoor grill was unusable. Fireplace was also not usable and looked as if someone at one time had started a big fire in it. The ladies at the office were very friendly and helpful. They weren't hard to get on the phone at all when I called. We would stay here again but would prefer to wait until the upgrades are done.

  The property was beautiful-views were incredible. However I would not advise staying here with out a four wheel drive vehicle. Our first night we got stuck several times trying to reach the cabin. You have to go through a small creek and up a steep incline with a direct right turn to make it into the property. Beds are not super comfortable. The coffee maker is a keruig so bring pods if you are a coffee drinker. We could not get the jets to work in the tub. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

  The cabin exterior was fine. The road is rough and you should have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. There is a big rut on the right as you turn into the driveway. The living room furniture is old and used. The handles on the refrigerator/freezer handles are loose as is the main door handle. The stovetop and oven are old and dirty. Our last night there were mice/rats inside the wall in the loft. The home was clean and the linens seemed to be new. The home and location were good.

  Overall it was a good experience. Cabin very secluded and peaceful. Driveway is long and 4 wheel drive is likely needed. The cabin was beautiful but could have been better.   House was perfect for a small family. Had everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals, grill outside (charcoal), fire pit, hot tub. Steep gravel hill going up (last house on the mountain) so make sure you have AWD or a 4x4. Even have to cross a small stream on the way up. Even though it feels remote, only 20 from downtown Bryson & about 28 min from trailheads in the national park. About 1 hr 15 min from Gatlinburg too.

  We had a great Labor Day weekend at Mountain Time. The view from the cabin is beautiful. The hot tub was a much needed dose of relaxation at the end of our days. And the drive to the top of the mountain was fun. The rental was clean and had everything we needed, although there are some expected critters present in the mountains - namely a few bats under the eaves and an occasional mouse. Overall, we love the location and the remote cabin, and would look forward to visiting again.

  The cabin itself was VERY beautiful, the views were amazing, the path to get to it likely requires a 4WD vehicle which was not listed. Luckily, we just purchased a truck so that was helpful. The front staff and staff responding to email was very kind; the manager left a poor taste in our mouth with her dismissive and can't be bothered attitude.
  
  The AC did work for two nights, there are wasps building nests around the porch where the best view/chairs are, bees have drilled into the siding which makes relaxing on the porch hard to do. The hot tub did not work although I was assured it is maintenanced regularly and should be working; the manager assured me she would send someone but no one came. This was after someone said they would send someone. The maintenance person did call and tell me how to fix it on my own but by then it was too late to use it after 3 nights of staying there.
  
  We loved all of the waterfalls in Cherokee, whitewater rafting and zip lining! The area is so beautiful to explore

  Definitely rent or bring a vehicle that has 4 wheel drive. When they say you'll have to cross a river, they mean drive through a small waterfall. It's scary to be honest. However, the cabin was so worth the effort. Amazing views from inside the cabin, the hot tub, and especially the back porch. The indoor whirlpool tub was broken, but honestly, with that amazing tub outside we didn't care. It was everything we hoped for when we booked. (Also, follow your ears, there's a tiny waterfall about 50 yards from the cabin that's worth the difficult hike to find.) There was a mouse in the cabin, but he was quite polite so we didn't mind him.

  We had such a great time in this beautiful cabin! It was clean and well stocked; we would definitely stay again. The location is pretty secluded and the view is beautiful just as pictured! I would not recommend a low riding vehicle, nor a 4 cylinder as my car bottomed out in a few spots on rocks and uneven road. Also the last stretch of driveway is steep and gravel so you need a “running start” to make it up in cars like mine! Great for the adventurous spirit! We enjoyed the hot tub very much! The jacuzzi tub was not working unfortunately. Overall this was a great cabin!

  It was warm, dry, and with a kitchen. The creek crossing was worrisome and if it had been raining the creek may have been impassable with our vehicle. The cabin appeared great at first but upon further inspection we started noticing some wear and tear from its use over the years such as doors not sealing and furniture looking worn. The gas fireplace was iffy at best (did not attempt to use due to the excessive black smoke stains/damage around it most likely from improper use from prior renters). The biggest surprise was going into the kitchen at night, turning on the light, and seeing cockroaches scurrying away. Along with hearing mice in the walls this was disconcerting about the state of the cabin.
  
  We were not disappointed in the overall stay and my interactions with the staff I had over the phone to set up the reservation was great. The cabin could use some upgrades and maintenance.

  Difficult access because you have to cross a creek to get there and also another part of the road is washed out on the hill. Not recommended for vehicles with low ground clearance. Otherwise a real getaway!

  The cabin was very nice and clean. The view is impressive, we enjoyed the hot tub as well. The drive uphill to the cabin was quite a test for our minivan and our nerves. Also, remember to bring salt, pepper, oil if you are cooking in the cabin, extra toilet paper, soap, etc. Although there were cooking utensils and pots, you will need to bring everything else with you. Overall great stay and experience!

  What a amazing cabin! Frequent to this area and this cabin was definitely as pictured! The VIEW was amazing and love the vaulted and open windows! That’s how a cabin should be ! Super cozy. For a great price. The drive to the cabin was fun, love that little stream you drive over! Loved it, will be back!

  Cabin was nice and clean and came with everything needed to be away for a few days however the front door knob was Hanging on by a thread and the jets in the bathtub didn’t work it would also have been nice if there were some working security lights around the hot tub area since it’s not on the porch

  AMAZING VIEW! Perfect for a relaxing get away. Great cabin about 20 minutes to Bryson City. We loved out stay the only thing that would have made it better would have been a king bed (or at least a more comfortable queen) in the master.
