Time Out Cabin

Beautifully renovated (2019) custom-built log cabin near Fontana Lake. Private and peaceful cabin conveniently located between Bryson City and Nantahala Outdoor Center.

This mountain log cabin is only a mile and a half from the Greasy Branch boat ramp access on Fontana Lake and only a few miles to the Alarka Boat Dock & Marina (where you can rent a boat for the day). There is a paved road all the way to the driveway of the cabin.

This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin features a brand new hot tub (2019), new furniture, new stainless steel appliances, and new décor throughout. The cabin has WI-FI internet, phone, and satellite TV in the living room and both bedrooms. The master bedroom has a huge king size bed with a memory foam mattress. The second bedroom has a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress. The pull-out couch also has a queen size bed. The kitchen is newly stocked with cookware and dishes. Enjoy your time outdoors with a large covered porch, charcoal grill, and fire pit. This cabin has a brand-new HVAC system (2019), a whole-house water filtration system, and an instant hot water heater, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Depot and Deep Creek Park (hiking & tubing) in Bryson City: 10 miles (around 20 minutes), Nantahala Outdoor Center: 16 miles (around 25 minutes), Tsali Recreation Area (world-class mountain biking and hiking trails): 16 miles (around 25 minutes), Cherokee and Harrah’s Casino: 22 miles (around 35 minutes).

Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

  I would definitely stay here again. Close to Bryson City for our Polar express train ride. Luckily there if WiFi because you won’t have cell phone service. Directions to cabin were spot on especially since there isn’t cellular service once you get away from town. Cabin was exactly as described!

  It was really close to perfect. Our only problem (100 percent our fault) was not realizing there wasn't room to turn our truck and 18-foot trailer around in the driveway/parking area. But we managed nonetheless. Loved the cabin. Loved riding our motorcycles daily on the long and winding road to the cabin. It had everything we could possibly need.
