  We surely enjoyed our stay. The cabin was rustic and peaceful and just what we needed. We had the best time playing in the creek and unplugging for a couple days. We loved the rustic country feel of the cabin and it was plenty of room for our large family to be comfortable. The cabin was nice enough, but it was a bit dusty and several cobwebs. Surely the cleaning service could take a few quick minutes to dust the fans and knock down cobwebs. The kitchen had most needed supplies, but could use a couple bigger pots. we had to cook some meals in two medium pots in order to feed our bunch. Other than that we had no complaints and would most definitely stay again. If you are wanting to get away from it all and spend some peaceful time in nature I most definitely recommend Larky Lodge.

  We loved the cabin, but the company needs to put a little TLC into it! We had a bad start due to it had not been cleaned before we got there. No wifi, shower upstairs leaked in king bedroom downstairs, the phone didn't work,and the satellite was messed up. I called Yellowrose and they were easy to deal with and did refund back a little money for the cleaning issue. The kids loved the creek! It was good to be disconnected from things for a little bit! I would stay again at Larky Lodge, but I just wish you would update it a little and fix what needs fixing.

  Overall the experience was good. We were not able to use the tv, dvd players, or the gas fire place and only 2 eyes worked on the stove and it was dirty. There is a rotten place on the deck that could give way. It is secluded and very quiet which was nice to not have to hear traffic constantly. we would stay again, but I think some updates need to be made.

  I loved the location of the cabin. I loved it Being next to the running water, so peaceful. I called and requested fire wood which was there when we arrived. It was a very generous amount for the money. We had fires every night and still had plenty left at the end of the week which we took home for our own fire pits. It would have been nice if they had taken it to the back of the cabin where they had a nice place to store the firewood instead of dumping it in the front. There was a hole in the porch with a nail sticking up. We had to keep an eye on the dog to make sure she didn’t hurt her paw on it. We weren’t real happy with that, anyone could have stepped on it. The place to park/ turn around was very small. It was a bit tricky maneuvering our big truck to get it turned around. Other than these few things, we loved the cabin. I would absolutely recommend staying there

  I along with my family (2 daughters & husbands and 3 grands) loved the 4 bedroom cottage. Polar Express in matching pajamas, horseback riding & hiking to 3 waterfalls, fishing in the stream beside the cottage, and making Smores at the fire pit were enjoyed. Perfect location. Bryson City is picturesque and decorated beautifully for Christmas.

  We enjoyed our stay and the location, but the house could use a good cleaning to get rid of the musty odor and the cobwebs. Also the is a leak in the upstairs bath that’s leaking down into the king bedroom, the deck that is over the water has come a loose from the steps and house railing. It’s a great house but could use some TLC.

  We really enjoyed our stay at the Larky lodge. Rental is perfect for a family get a way. The fishing wasn’t as great as the description described although the kids caught a handful of trout. Everything was clean and had a rustic charm. The rental needs better directions we got a lost a couple of times before we finally found the lodge. Overall we enjoyed our trip and we’re likely to visit again.

  We have stayed here several times and love the property! Each time we rent, we hope that some vital changes have been made but unfortunately, they haven't yet! We'll hope for next time! The beds, especially the ones upstairs are really bad! We had friends with us who are late 60s and early 70s who loved the creek and the house but said they wouldn't go back because of the beds. The bathroom upstairs is also really bad and dangerous! The oven has gotten worse since our last stay in 2019-it takes an hour to get it up to 300 degrees and that's about all you can get from it.The only other thing is the outdoor steps leading to creek are very slippery & could use a nonslip surface put on them like the steps at Creekside Cottage next door. I really want to continue renting this property because I love it! Please get some new beds and an oven. Thanks!!

  Great management but the cabin has a musty smell and we saw and trapped a mouse. It is listed as a fishing cabin, but owners need to do some upgrades and airing. Second year that no cable for 4 days, not weather related. Great fishing.

  We liked the place, however , property needs updating. Furniture was inadequate,curtains and especially blinds need replacing. Pillows in living room. Not enough blankets and the ones that were there needed washing. Fire pit outside was nice, but furniture was was rather scary to sit in.   Perfect location. The rushing water directly in the front is so relaxing. The cabin fit the surroundings. Luckily it was a cool weekend and opening windows and running the fans provided kept it cool enough as the window units were in the bedrooms only. Absolutely no cell service and no internet. There is however a landline and satellite TV. Overall, we had a great time.

  Yellow Rose was great to work with! The cabin was all we hoped for-remote with no cell or internet-and very comfortable. There is a musty smell due to age so anyone with allergies should be aware. Otherwise a great rustic on the creek cabin with wonderful water sounds and easy fishing.
