  Enjoy our stay very much. The home was spacious for 4 guests for our recent stay. The proximity to downtown Bryson City ~15 minute drive was great too. Directions to the home and access codes were all very helpful. We used the game room table for mahjong and cards and even got to use the hot tub which was very clean and nice. The fireplaces were not operating in the home which was disappointing and I am used to rental homes having more spices stocked and just in general more kitchen cooking supplies, large mixing bowls, pots and pans etc. I wouldn’t recommend anyone visiting to bring their own spices and some larger mixing bowls if they anticipate the need. There was no filtered water but the tap water was fine for drinking. An owners manual to the home would have been helpful too. Overall, would recommend!

  The cabin is in a beautiful location with the most amazing views. It has a very nice open layout downstairs that shows off the views from everywhere. It’s a little odd that the upstairs balcony can only be reached through one of the bedrooms, not the master bedroom. Would have been nice if it extended all the way across.   This house was great for our family vacation. Having 4 bedrooms was perfect for our group, the kitchen is very well equipped with all the utensils you could need. There is a full size refrigerator and the laundry is right off the kitchen. The decks are wonderful for sitting out on in the evening. The grandsons loved the hot tub. As in other reviews, the roads are twisty and steep, but manageable. The drive up is worth it when you get there. Bryson City has everything you could need for grocery stores, restaurants, bars, etc. The Great Smokey Mountain Railroad is definitely worth going on. If we return to the area, I would rent this house again.
  Yellow Rose is a very professional company. We had a power outage due to high winds and we called about moving to another unit and they set us up right away. We ended up staying as the power came back on later in the evening.

  Yellow Rose never disappoints! This cabin's view was gorgeous. Had some minor issues and they were taken care immediately. The only complaint I have is no shower downstairs for that bedroom but we made it work! The view made up for anything the house didn't have!   Lookout Lodge was the perfect spot for our annual family vacation, by far the best accommodations since we’ve been getting together starting in 2014. The place was spacious and comfortable for ages ranging to 17 months to 80 years. The Smokey Mountains were absolutely spectacular from our decks. Billy from Yellow Rose called to check in. I appreciate the customer service . We enjoyed hiking in the National Park, stroller walks nearby, a train ride, exploring Bryson City.   We really enjoyed our stay here.The home was well furnished and in good condition overall. The only small issue we noticed was that, although the property was listed as No Pets, there had obviously been a dog in the home recently as there was hair in some of the rugs and the game room smelled a lot like wet dog. Not a huge issue for us, we opened the windows to air it out, but could be an issue for someone with dog allergies.

  The house was great, clean, with plenty of space & breathtaking views. There was an issue with the WIFI, which was resolved on the 2nd day. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone visiting this area. My suggestion to make this an amazing experience would be to supply plenty of the standard household items one normally expects in VRBO properties. The house comes with 1 trash bag, 2 dishwasher pods, 2 laundry pods, and 3 rolls of toilet paper. I left a brand new box of trash bags under the sink, hopefully, this helps the next guest. Also, be sure to bring your own coffee.

Only issue was the non-functioning games in the game room, and the overhead fan in there and the living room did not seem to work.   The house/cabin had excellent views and was very clean. We had plenty of linens and cookware. Lots of room was available for all seven of us. The water was full of iron creating a foul smell every time you used it; therefore, bathing and drinking had to be endured with the smell. Also, there were minor maintenance issues that should be addressed before it is rented again - items in game room need fixing, master bedroom fireplace, hot tub lights not working, new light bulbs in several rooms, toaster, and drawer knob. I notified the rental office of these, but no one got in touch with me about fixing them. When I pay for a house, I expect better maintenance. If the issues are corrected, I would consider staying here again.

  Our family wanted to have a safe visit with us in Bryson City. They stayed at Lookout Lodge and were delighted by the view and the comfortable accommodations. Social distancing was important to us and we had wonderful meals on the large deck. While here family members golfed at Sequoyah National and the grandchildren paid more than one visit to Soda Pops.

  The cabin is very nice and fairly new but the contents were worn out. The king bed was great but the other beds were small and uncomfortable. The cookware and utensils were worn out. The cabin as a whole was not very clean. Countertops were sticky. Bugs in the dining room light fixture (a lot). Floors were not clean. Frig was a little under the weather as far as cleanness. The view was wonderful and very quiet. There was no remote for the main living room tv. 😕 2 1/2 stars out of 5

  House was exactly as described on the website. It was located at the end of the road, a single lane, steep road that leads to the house. Views are even more amazing in person, the pictures don't capture the scenery nearly enough. House had everything we needed for a week's stay. About a 15min drive to Bryson City, where there's two grocery stores with a good selection. About a 40min drive to the national park. I would definitely stay here again.

  Love the layout but couldn’t use any of the ‘ game room’ . The fireplaces had no way to turn on.they did come turn on , Hot tub never got hot. ( it’s the type of hot tub, heats by motor) seems like all rentals are using these. This is our 6th year in the area. That being said I would definitely rent again . Just want them to mss as he gameroom accessible!

  Nice Home, Great view. Gas Log Fireplace would not work, repairman sent gave up on trying to fix it. So no fireplace for the weekend. 2nd Master BR does not have a closet. 3rd bed room closet had furniture in it. Always voice mail when calling the service. Parking area small. Spa a bit cool.

  We chose this house for the proximity to Bryson City and for the bonus room with the air hockey table and foosball table. With an 18 month old and 3 1/2 year old the bonus room was great.
  
  In general the house is in good condition, but our biggest issue and disappointment by far was the lack of care and maintenance. Some examples:
  - A dirty pizza cutter in the drawer
  - Some of the silverware was rusty
  - Dried food/liquid on the kitchen counter
  - Unpleasant residue on the underside of the toilet seat
  - Burnt out lightbulbs in a number of places - front porch (1 of 2 were out), half bath on main level (1 of 3 were out), upstairs bathroom (1 of 3 were out), kitchen (4 of the 7 canned lights were out)
  - Dead moth on the kitchen floor
  - The 2 barstools in the kitchen were so wobbly and cheap I would not let any of us sit on them
  
  These were just the things that were obvious and in plain sight. I am sure if I looked further I would have found more. The good news is that all of these things are easily fixable, there just needs to be a new person or company with a higher standard of quality doing the maintenance and property management.

  Lookout Lodge was an amazing property. The cabin was beautiful and well maintained. The amenities were very high quality. The views of the mountains were so beautiful. The master bedroom was so spacious; even though the other bedrooms had beautiful antique furniture, I would recommend placing queen size beds in each room.
