Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

  Cabin on the Creek was everything we hoped it would be. The cabin was in a great location nestled in the trees beside a beautiful creek. I cannot express the feelings of peace we felt sitting there watching the water flowing and hearing the sounds. This cabin is a place where you can literally renew your soul. The cabin was clean and had everything you needed. The hot tub was amazing, what a wonderful experience. The staff at Yellow Rose Real Estate were very friendly and helpful. We were concerned with the possibility of snow coming to the area and not being able to get down the mountain, but the staff at Yellow Rose put our concerns at ease. Thank you. This is a cabin that we will definitely come back to. P.S. this is the only place we have ever stayed that my husband did not want to leave! He just kept saying, I could live here.

The cabin couldn't have been any more perfect, only downfall was no WiFi, that didn't matter to us it was our chance to getaway for the honeymoon the wife and I never got. Definitely recommend!!! Have caution: this cabin is a dirt road climb to get to so smaller cars will have a harder time.

  My only warning is that the cabin is up a steep mountain. Although we had no challenges in our minivan, the drive could get sketchy during wintery weather.

  I don't know where to begin. This cabin is totally secluded in the mountains. If you're looking to get away this place is perfect. It was spotless clean when we checked in. Cabin is fully equipped. Hot tub was amazing. Even though you are totally secluded you're still only 15 minutes from the Harrah's Cherokee casino and 15 minutes from the wonderful Bryson city. Amazing hiking trails near by, fishing everywhere. I'm already looking to book my next stay. All and all I was blown away with my experience at this cabin. It was everything I hoped for and even more then I could have imagined. Also Yellow Rose real Estate is top notch and made things easy.

  The cabin was peaceful and perfect for a home base while exploring the Smokies. An older review mentions how the bed had no headboard so he was "chasing his pillow" all night - the good news is, there was a terrific new bed frame by the time we got there so that isn't a concern anymore. One thing to note is the road up is pretty steep and bumpy, with the final stretch being mainly gravel - but on our last day, the worst stretches were paved over so it'll be even easier to get up to the cabin than before. We'll be back!

I thought I had sent a message a few days prior but may have missed actually sending it. We were about an hour trying to get hold of someone to help us.   The cabin, creek with waterfalls, firepit & hot tub were all part of an amazing visit. The loft bed has no headboard and can't be placed against the wall due to the angle of the roof so nothing to keep your pillow in place. Downstairs pullout sleeper sofa appears barely used but is thin and uncomfortable for 2 adults. Gas fireplace warms the entire place easily but sinlge wall mount AC downstairs does not cool the upstairs. Would suggest to property owner that a gate be placed at the top of the steps to prevent a young child from falling down there. The views are incredible. The isolation is just what we wanted during Covid pandemic. Satellite TV is DishNetwork base package. Landline phone had no dialtone our entire stay (reported it but wasn't resolved prior to checking out). Internet didn't work when we arrived but worked after power cycling the router. As with most mountain rentals, internet is spotty and slow. Everything you need is on-site for a tranquil vacation.

  Property was very secluded and definitely IN the mountains.
  It was clean and well maintained.
  Furniture was very comfortable.
  Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities - only had to bring food and paper products.
  Plenty of towels supplied.
  The hot tub was very clean and looked out to a beautiful view.
  The best part was definitely the scenery. The creek had many small waterfalls and moved much faster than we had expected.
  
  Not a complaint, just a couple notes: I didn't think about it, but the dvd player was a cd/dvd, not a blue ray. So if you bring dvds, make sure they are not blue ray.
  
  The wifi/cell service is very spotty. Don't plan on streaming or working. They do make you aware, I just wanted to reiterate. But, that's to be expected in the mountains.
  
  Suggestion to the property manager: a prize or two could be a nice addition.
  
  All in all, it was a perfect stay and we would definitely come again!

  We loved the cabin! The stream was our absolute favorite part! It’s a very beautiful area, and felt very private and remote. The WiFi didn’t work, and the cell service was nonexistent, but aside from that everything was wonderful. The AC Unit was impressive and slightly confusing. It was very nice to sit in the hot tub or on the porch with a cup of coffee and listen to the stream and wildlife. We had a very nice romantic getaway.

  We loved our two weeks at Cabin on the Creek. It's an amazing place if you want to retreat and unwind. The cabin is a great size for the two of us, and it is well-equipped. The hot tub is awesome after a busy day, and the constant sound of the rushing creek is relaxing all the time. Our favorite day trips were tubing on Deep Creek, and hiking to Albright Grove to see old growth trees in the Smoky Mountains. And we loved getting takeout at the Haywood Smokehouse in Dillsboro - it really is the best BBQ we've ever been to. We were there in May and it rained a fair bit, so we didn't sit down by the water as often as we would have liked, but it was still warm enough to eat on the porch. The cabin feels remote (especially the first time up to gravel road), but it's only 15 minutes or so into Whittier. We had a wonderful two weeks and recommend this cabin especially to couples that want to get away.
