  This was a beautiful cabin, however, did encounter a few things that needed to be fixed in the home and the back deck needs repair. Also, the beds are not comfortable and there was an active roach issue. The agency did respond and apologize, which is great gave a very small monetary refund. I understand being in the woods you’re gonna have bugs. However, this type of roach was not a roach from the woods and they claimed nobody had reported, but the issue in the kitchen and main level of the home was quite excessive crawling on counters, stove, and the dishes. Also, they say if things are not left clean, you will be charged, however when pulling out pots and pans and things of that sort still had food on them and had to be washed and no one had apparently checked that.
  
  The cabin is beautiful, and if these things were fixed, would definitely consider coming back.

  We were in town to ride the steam train in Bryson City and go to the casino in Cherokee. This cabin was in a great location for both activities. We had 3 couples and each one had their own full bath. Very well furnished if you want to cook.

  The hill up to the house is very steep. We were there in July, I can't imagine driving up when snow is on the ground. This is an older property. There was nothing broken in the house but the bathrooms were out of date. The basement had lots of millipedes crawling around and some made there way upstairs before the end of the week. The backdoor from the kitchen to outside deck was impossible to open which made that space unusable. It's not very private. There is another rental house very close and you share the same driveway. I would recommend to friends that were OK with a casual vacation and could sleep on noisy mattresses. The upstairs bedroom (that has a king bed) is in a loft. You could hear everything that was happening in kitchen and living area. We would probably search for another option the next time we head to Bryson City.

  I will start off by saying, I’m not the type to leave negative reviews, but I feel this was needed. The home is very nice with lots of room and plenty of outside space, but the driveway is steep, we are very thankful snow had melted by time we arrived considering we specifically called about the driveway. Had it snowed recently, I do not feel we would have made it up without 4wd. When we arrived, there were dirty towels left on top of the dryer and dishes in the dishwasher. Also, when we took the trash out for the first time, we realized the trash can was full. The beds are not comfortable and squeak very badly. The walkway up to the home needs to be lighted and have a handrail of some kind. It is very dangerous to navigate at night.

  WE enjoyed our stay in Bryson City at the Bear Crawl Inn. The cabin was excellent, very clean, and very comfortable. It was well-stocked. It was about at 15 minute drive to Harrah's Cherokee Casino and 5 minutes from downtown Bryson City. I expected the cabin to be more secluded but was located close to another cabin-which the owners were friendly when we met them. The drive was narrow and steep-one of our guests had a small car and had trouble getting to the cabin. Also, the water had a metallic-like smell to it. Overall, we were very satisfied and will most likely stay here again in the future during another trip to the casino!

  We have two children at Western Carolina. Came up for our sons 21st Birthday. We have a large family and the cabin more than accommodated us. It was convenient to Cherokee. I have two negatives its the road to the cabin it is very steep and narrow (enough room for 1 car). We had no idea what we would do if we encountered someone coming in the opposite direction and there are two cabins at the top of the hill. I recommend bringing your 4 wheel drive vehicle.Also Could not use the Hot tub water was green. Despite these minor inconveniences Everything was nice, cabin well stocked and clean. We had a great time and made some great family memories

Ten minutes from Deep Creek, two minutes from winery and 15 minutes to Bryson City. We enjoyed these attractions. Had a great meal for 15 at Pasqualinos Italian Restaurant. We also enjoyed hot chocolate with Santa at the History Museum.

  This comfortable cabin is located very close to the GSMNP, making it a great base for day hikes. There isn't much of a view, but the setting is secluded and very quiet. The cabin itself is spacious, comfortably furnished and the kitchen is fully outfitted for cooking. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit and views of the milky way from the back deck.
