4WD or AWD required for this cabin.

On the main level of Clingmans View both bedrooms are located each with full private baths. You’ll find a comfortable sitting area with unique windows letting in the stunning mountain views.

Also on the main level is the covered porch with mountain views, the gas grill, rocking chairs, a patio table and table with chairs for plenty of space for outdoor entertaining.

Venture down to the lower level of this cabin rental and you’ll enter the second living area with a futon for extra sleeping. Here you’ll find a flat screen TV. Outdoor access to the deck where there’s a cozy porch swing and bubbling outdoor hot tub.

  Great unit on a ledge of a beautiful valley. The driveway is INSANELY steep, highly advise 4-wheel drive. House is comfortable, well equipped and stocked.

  If you’re looking for a seriously secluded cabin this is the place. You will need 4wd/AWD vehicle to get up driveway! Traversing the driveway is not for the faint of heart and can be tricky. The cabin is well appointed with everything you will need. Very clean and comfortable with a fantastic view of the mountains. Spacious bedrooms with a large game room including pool table. Both bathrooms are on the main level with laundry room in the basement. Great spacious kitchen with all you will need to cook three meals a day.

  Pros: Great house, Great view! Beds were comfortable, house was stocked with all the essentials. Very private!
  Cons: Drive up was steep (but we were warned).
  BIGGEST COMPLAINT: the map on VRBO is egregiously wrong. While browsing properties, I was led to believe this cabin was VERY close to downtown Bryson City, but in fact it was 6 miles on the OTHER side of the highway. And that 6 miles is about 30min of driving when you're not used to the area.

  The house was very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing and breath taking. We enjoyed the drive into Bryson City and Cherokee. Enjoyed the fire pit at night while roasting s'mores and taking in the beauty of the mountains. We never could get the television in downstairs to work but we stayed busy just relaxing. The hot tub was amazing and very relaxing to enjoy the end of the day. Well worth the drive up the mountain to the home.

  This was a truly outstanding cabin, with an exceptional view to the north west. Cabin was well prepared and very clean. As described the driveway is very steep but we had no problems. The trials on the property are very steep too, a map of the trails would be a help. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to recommend.

  My wife and I enjoyed a 2 week stay here in late October getting a taste of what the peak foliage season has to offer in the mountains of NC. The house itself was roomy and clean with everything you need for your stay. The driveway coming up is steep and I was happy to have my truck with decent tires. 4wd was needed once the majority of the leaves were down in the rain but otherwise not that big of a deal. I would definitely book here again in the future.

  The views from this property are breathtaking!Well worth the steep (but manageable) drive. The cabin itself is spacious, clean and well stocked with all the necessities. It is located within a short drive to Bryson City and Smoky Mountains National Park with plenty of hikes and places to relax. If you are coffee enthusiast, The Cornerstone Cafe and Mountain Perks in Bryson City are a must! Also, a relatively short drive to Fontana Lake and boating. Had a great time and highly recommend!

  We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is beautiful and the view is amazing. You need 4WD to get up the driveway. I could make it with my AWD but it was not something I wanted to do more than once (we had two vehicles). The hour had everything we needed plus nice extras like books and puzzles. We would definitely stay here again. My favorite moments were enjoying the sunrise with my coffee in the rocking chair on the back deck. Sunset views of the smokies were also beautiful.

  The drive up is definitely sketchy but then you have a great secluded spot. My favorite is the porch with a great view. The furniture in the place could use some upgrades but was fine for the 2 of us. Clean enough but shower liner had some mold so should be cleaned or replaced. Bathrooms are small but again adequate for 2. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need from lighters to wine opener etc and plenty of towels and linens. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

  This cabin had spectacular views and was very clean. It was secluded so you could sit out on the deck and just enjoy the sounds of nature. It doesn't take long to get to town though. The main level could use some more comfortable furniture. The bed in the master bedroom is really hard and squeaks when you roll over. My husband and I ended up sleeping in the twin beds most of the week. Also all of the deck furniture is hard so you can only sit on it for short periods. We bought an air mattress and laid out on the deck. There is a trail and waterfall near the house. However, if you a bringing a pet be careful. There was a pack of dogs on the trail near the logging road. They barked at my husband but didn't come after him.

  We had a wonderful stay over the New Year. Cabin was spotless when we arrived. Excellent view and very secluded. 4WD is definitely required when there is snow/ice. The driveway is a 350ft elevation gain over
  a half-mile gravel road. Our only complaint is the location on several popular third-party vacation rental websites is way off and misleading. This property is not north east of Bryson City, it is about 20 minutes south. This put us farther away from attractions than we had planned. Location is still great, just not where we were led to believe. We would stay again.

  We loved our stay at Clingman’s Chalet & hope to return in the future. That porch with the view is everything but the hot tub & fire pit were added bonuses. The internet was way better than expected. We were warned about the steep driveway & although we managed it well without 4wd, doing so in heavy rain or snow would have been a different story. A bed & a 1/2 bath downstairs would make this place absolutely perfect.

  The only problem we had was being greeted with a large pile of trash right next to the front steps when we arrived. We called and they took care of it, but not real appealing to walk past rotting trash while moving in. Also the fact that there is no trash service and it is $15 a bag if you leave it so we got to haul ours home. Who ever heard of staying somewhere with no trash pickup? Overal a great cabin though.
