Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it! Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

  Stay was a good one. The mattress in the master bed room could probably be replaced. It's quite springy and my friends couldn't sleep on it well. I'm not sure that housekeeping cleaned the place before we got there. There was a used bar of soap in the shower and the tub didn't look to be cleaned. I don't think the sheets had been washed. The pillows and lamp were in the floor upon our arrival. We did have clean towels and floors. I wouldnt say it looked dirty though, I just tend to inspect a place before I stay in it. Overall we were satisfied with it. I would rent from yellowrose again.

  We enjoyed staying here! We didn’t have any issues and loved it being close to Bryson City, but away from all the hustle and bustle in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We loved the back porch area close to the river and the kids loved being able to run outside and wave at the train every time it came by!

  This was an excellent rental. We had such a great time staying here. The master bedroom has a beautiful view. We raised the windows at night and listened to the river at night! The back porch is so nice being directly by the river. The beds were all very comfortable and the kitchen was fully furnished. The only complaint we have was the steps leading down to the river by the porch are treacherous. One of our family members fell and almost landed in the rocks. This really needs a hand rail to help steady you as you descend.

  Conveniently located to Cherokee, Bryson City and Sylva. Bring your own pots and pans (there are very few) no toaster either so might want to bring one of those too. As far as the neighborhood, it was very safe, except the thieving neighborhood dog that will steal your bait and shoes lol. We had 3 separate couples coming and going separately so the doors were never locked and we had no issues. Yes there's a trailer next door but maybe don't judge based on looks alone. We didn't even see anyone come or go from there and we were there July 4th.

  It was a very clean cottage, the area was calm and a great place to relax. We only had four people and it was very comfortable, it sleeps more, but due to the size of the living area and the lower ceilings I would not recommend more people, it might be a bit crowded. The cleaning people did a great job inside, but this is seasonal I am sure, but did need to pay more attention to the back porch, birds had pooped all down the window, and part of the back door, and on almost all of the furniture on the deck, nothing I could not clean, but you could not immediately sit on the furniture, it was pretty bad.

  We had a leak in the master bathroom above the shower. There was a spot in the floor between the hall bathro and first bedroom that felt as if the floor was separating. We were also a little disappointed in the pots and pans that were in the cabin. We did buy a bigger pot and left it there for others to use.
