Welcome to Bear Trot! This gorgeous 3 bedroom, 2 bath Smoky Mountain cabin rental is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation getaway.

Bear Trot is within a 5 minute drive to downtown Bryson City and a fifteen minute drive to downtown Cherokee. Perfect location for the "on the go" vacation or if you are just wanting to "chill" Bear Trot is perfect for you.

The main living area gas fireplace, upscale furnishings, flat screen TV, cathedral ceiling and abundant windows that seemingly bring the outdoors in.

Bear Trot provides a fully equipped kitchen which provides you with all the modern appliances and utensils to treat all of your guests to a delicious home cooked meal while on vacation in the Smoky Mountains.

The first of three bedrooms you will find a luxurious king, in-suite full bath and flat screen TV. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and the third bedroom offers two twins. All bedrooms have their own TV. The second and third bedroom are located across the breezeway from the main-living area.

If you’re coming to the mountains to have fun with friends and family, then you’re going to love the convenient location of Bear Trot. Here you’ll enjoy relaxing on the sofa or watching your favorite TV programs on the flat screen TV or hanging out in the screened in breezeway.

  We stayed at 131-Bear Trot in Bryson City, NC in mid-December. The main purpose of our visit was to bring family and friends together and to ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Christmas Train. From the moment we arrived at the vacation home, it was a pure joy. The home was beautifully decorated with stuffed animals that the kids loved and “bear” decorations everywhere. The kids had fun finding all the bears...a lot of them! The owners were very nice in that they had the kitchen stocked with many spices to make our stay easier. The rental company was very responsive during the rental process and available to answer any questions during our stay. Overall, from all of the vacation homes we have ever rented, this ranks at the top.

  What luck that this cabin happened to be available for our vacation! It was our first trip to the Smoky Mountains from Wisconsin. This cabin is AWESOME! Everything was clean. Besides the fire pit and hot tub the cabin is stocked with games, books, and TVs for rainy days. There are extra blankets. Plenty of towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware. Close to The Great Smoky National Park and The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. We enjoyed both. I would absolutely recommend this property and I would stay here again. It was an excellent experience.

  This was a great location. The layout is interesting as it is essentially two small houses connected together by a breeze way. This would not have been an issue except it did get pretty chilly some mornings so I would just advise you to take that into consideration for this property as the kitchen is located in the main building. Second building has two bedrooms with a connecting bathroom to share. The location was perfect, set off of the main road just enough to be private but very close to the grocery store and downtown Bryson City.

  We really enjoyed our time at the Bear Trot Cabin! The layout is very unique and quite nice for couples or families with older children (two bedrooms and a Jack and Jill bath across the breezeway. If you want to unplug and enjoy a quiet vacation this is a great spot! There is no WiFi and the internet signal is not good in this area so if that is important to you it’s something you’ll want to consider. That being said, we felt right at home, the cabin is nicely appointed, comfortable and just a great place to enjoy Bryson City!

  Perfect cabin get away. The layout of this cabin is may favorite in many years of renting cabins in the mountains. The layout is perfect if traveling with another couple or older kids. You all still have privacy. Loved the open kitchen and living room. Bed in the master was very comfortable. Loved the walk in shower in the master bedroom. Fire pit was perfect. Screened in porch between the bedrooms is a fabulous idea. Great for playing games and just relaxing or having a glass of wine. Hot tub great add on! Would love to visit again!
