The entire interior is made of gleaming, honey-colored wood, giving it a genuine Smoky Mountains forest feel. The open plan main level features a luxurious living area with a plush leather couch, a beautiful stone fireplace, and a vaulted, cathedral ceiling. There’s also a flat screen TV for entertainment. The combined kitchen and dining area is fully equipped with all the essentials you need to cook gourmet meals or fix quick snacks. The dining table can accommodate four people. The cabin has two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and a smart TV, and its bathroom offers a double vanity with a stone and glass shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and also features a smart TV.

The front of the home offers a fully covered porch, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors even in drizzle or rain. The porch is also home to a bubbling hot tub. This cabin offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and luxury, making it an ideal choice for a relaxing getaway in the Smoky Mountains.   Our time at the cabin was amazing! We enjoyed every bit of it. The only things that needed to be fixed was the sliding door not locking, the fridge making a funny sound, & the hot tub didn’t get very hot. But otherwise we had a great time.

  This was the first trip my girlfriend and I have taken together. We couldn't have chosen a better location. The cabin was very nice. It was clean and we loved the location. It was close to town and other activities. We found the Everette St diner for breakfast. The food and staff were amazing. Try the biscuits and gravy. There's a secret ingredient! Try to guess it. Mountain Layers Brewing and GSM Railroad were great experiences. The information says you need 4wd or AWD to access the cabin. Please pay attention to that. The driveway is very steep. Once at the cabin, you will appreciate the location. The view was great. We will definitely stay here again.

  Lazy Laurel was clean, like new, minutes from Bryson City, and had everything needed for our week stay in NC. Hot Tub was awesome, clean, and high tech. Television, Cable, Internet were highly reliable. Owners should provide a document explaining operation of Cable TV since there are numerous choices for entertainment. Dining table was small for us seniors since the chairs were stools. The need for a 4-wheel vehicle is a must. Truly uphill gravel access on side of mountain, but private and wooded with beautiful deck for sunset enjoyment.

  We had a wonderful week in Lazy Laurel: view from the rocking chairs on the deck is incredibly beautiful. The driveway is crazy steep, and scary to think of meeting someone coming the other way, but my Highlander handled the slope well. And the location was awesome -- just 2 miles to Deep Creek in GSM Nat. Park, 2.5 miles to downtown Bryson City, and 3.5 miles to a well-stocked Ingles. I love the whole area, and this was a great way to be there. The cabin is very comfortable and extremely well equipped. We did have to move bedside lamps from the bedrooms to great room to avoid too-bright overhead lights which were only lighting option (a floor lamp would be great in there!). Faux-rustic decor irritated the heck out of my partner, especially the cutesy burlap pots with plastic plants that were everywhere, but I found the bear-woodsy motif to be pleasant. Being allergic to artificial scents in detergents and dryer sheets, I had to wash the sheets & towels with my unscented detergent before I could use them, but I'll be prepared for that next time. Yellow Rose was available, helpful and responsive to any questions we had. Altogether, a really great place from which to enjoy and explore one of the most beautiful areas on the planet!

  We really enjoyed our stay! You definitely need turn by turn directions- and a 4-wheel drive for the last steep gravel road. It was very clean and quiet. We loved the views off of the deck and from the hot tub, the fire pit was a bonus. This was a great trip for kayaking on Fontana. We definitely will keep this place in mind for another trip back to Bryson City!

  It was fantastic for what we needed it to be. The house was immaculate. The reason I booked it was it had a king bed. My husband and I needed a king bed. My older children loved the house. My son was thrilled with the Xbox 360 so he didn't miss his ps4 at home so much. Beautiful scenery, but definitely need a 4x4. Neighbors are all super friendly as well.

  We attempted to rent a cabin for the weekend on VBRO, but were informed the next day that the same cabin was rented on AirBnB minutes before my reservation went through. The rental agency was extremely helpful in finding a suitable replacement rental. The cabin we ultimately stayed in was brand new, immaculate, nicely decorated, and perfect for our needs. The agency was upfront about needing a 4 wheel drive - cabin is built on a new road. We had a fabulous weekend. Will definitely stay again.

  The directions sent by the rental company were inaccurate and confusing to say the least. GPS worked better than their directions. It was a beautiful cabin but if you don't have 4 wheel drive it would be hard to access. There needs to be better directions and communication from the realty company about the location of the home. The company called four hours prior to arrival to ask if I had a 4 wheel drive and then hung up when I said yes. They did not offer any information on the location. Overall, satisfied with property just needs to be better communication from rental company.
