Cabin offers a queen bed in the first floor bedroom. The upstairs master has a King bed. Upstairs there is also a loft with the pool table and a door leading to an upper deck.

Bearfoot Nantahala is great for outdoor enthusiasts, with convenient access to the Nantahala River, Tsali Mountain Bike Trails, Fontana Lake, and Tuckaseegee River.

Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

  I sent a review through VRBO and received an email that my review was posted but I cannot find it. I also find it odd that there are no reviews for this property since the summer 2024. Could the property had not been prepped for fall visitors? The rooms had thick cobwebs and the kitchen a dead spider dangling from the ceiling. Lots of thick cobwebs in living room high windows and also in the bedrooms. Lamp light bulbs were out and we played rotate the light bulb to use the lamps. We discovered mouse droppings in the oven's bottom drawer and the primary closet. (have pics) We washed any dishes before use and kept them in dishwasher and draining board so we would know what had been cleaned. After showering, the towels emitted a pungent odor and our thoughts went to the knowledge of mouse droppings. So we laundered all towels and cloths. The fireplace was not working and we contacted the office about the light bulbs, fireplace, and mouse droppings the evening we checked in. The fireplace was addressed over the course of two days. However, grate was left in the living room floor during repair and a guest tripped over it when entering the home from being away for the day. The lighting is very dim in LR and bedrooms. Perhaps there were bulbs out or maybe that is the desired ambience. Keurig coffee pot had water in the reservoir but the one coffee packet provided was for a coffee maker. It would be nice to know coffee pot type in the listing. Based on the cleanliness of the cabin we would not have used the Keurig. We did find a French Press and through YouTube and trial and error used that. There is no pantry to put your groceries as all of the closets near the kitchen are locked. So, the area can be quite cluttered. Suggest a house manual. Firepit is great! Cabin has child safety locks installed. Description of the location was on point. Beautiful drive from Franklin to the cabin. Place has great potential with the right upkeep. But, for our stay, it came up short.

  Overall the stay was great but every rental place needs to advertise what kind of coffee maker they have particularly when they’re in a remote location so that you can come prepared with the right type of coffee to fit the machine. Also written directions taped to the TV about Wi-Fi and TV instructions would be helpful.

  It was relaxing. Meet some very nice people. The grass did need to be cut. Let people know you do have to travel a gravel road for a bit before getting to the cabin but the directions were good.
